Intel Corp has developed a chip similar to that of Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) Holdings, which has dominated the mobile markets.Intel had struggled to adapt its PC chips to smaller devices like smart-phones and tablets but it says its newest processor offers improved performance and power efficiency, crucial for devices that rely on batteries.Power-efficient chips based on ARMs technology are made by Texas Instruments, Samsung and Qualcomm and are widely used in smart-phones and tablets.
