Marcel Kittel of Project 1T4I and Germany won the third stage of the Tour of Oman on Thursday (February 16) in a final sprint after a 144.5 kilometre run from Wilayat Al Awabi to Murtafat Al Matar in 3 hours 23 minutes.The runner-up was his compatriot and LTB rider Andre Greipel, who retains the overall leaders red jersey, while third place went to Frenchman Nacer Bouhanni of FDJ.A group of four riders broke away three kilometres from the start and had a maximum lead of 3 mins 45 secs after 25 kilometres, but never looked like losing the rest completely. They were caught four kilometres from the finish.Greipels overall time is 9 hours 59 minutes 41 seconds and the next nine riders are within 19 seconds of him.
