LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s national Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Team delivered a historic performance at the South Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026, winning a total of 22 medals in Dagana, Sri Lanka.

The national side clinched 12 gold, five silver and five bronze medals, marking one of the most successful outings in the country’s jiu-jitsu history. Several Pakistani athletes competed against each other in the finals, highlighting the team’s dominance in multiple categories.

Young talents including Zunaira Zulfiqar Ali, Sundas Ali, Rishal Khan, Muhammad Abdullah Ali and Ibad Ur Rehman impressed in the under-16 and under-18 events with outstanding performances.

Officials from the Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, including founder and president Khalil Ahmed Khan and secretary general Tariq Ali, expressed delight over the team’s achievement. They praised the players’ dedication and commitment, stating that the victories had elevated Pakistan’s profile on the international stage.

They further announced that the team would receive a grand استقبال upon their return, along with rewards in recognition of their achievements.
