He finished with a 19-under total of 269.Murray eagled the 15th as Mulroy bogeyed the 14th to put the home player under pressure coming in.But he responded with two straight birdies, the second on the 16th coming through a 60-foot downhill putt. He closed with two pars.Murrays second place was his career-best European Tour finish.Chiles Felipe Aguilar, South African duo George Coetzee and Jaco van Zyl and Scotlands Peter Whiteford tied for third at 13 under. The 33-year-old Mulroy bogeyed the second hole to let compatriot Jbe Kruger grab a share of the lead. Krugers challenge eventually faded with a second straight 73, but the U.S.-based Mulroy then had to hold off Murray to claim his first win on the tour.He birdied the sixth and eighth, then mixed four more birdies on the back nine with the bogey on 14.I just tried to play smart golf and hit it in the right spots, Mulroy said. I had allowed my thoughts to get a little ahead of themselves earlier on, but I managed to concentrate on the job at hand.
