Summary Punjab-A defeated Punjab-B in the final of National Under-16 Hockey Championship final.
President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association Tariq Hayat was the chief guest on the occasion. Before the start of final match the players of both teams were introduced to him. He also met with the players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A and Punjab-C which got third and fourth positions respectively. The final match produced good hockey and players from Punjab-A and Punjab-B made some incisive rallies of attack which largely enjoyed by capacity crowd present on this occasion.Punjab-A opened the account through Noid Malik in the 8th minute through field attempt. It was a beautiful goal from the top of the circle.After taking lead Punjab-A put in more pressure and they got four penalty corners but none of them utilize due poor handling. It was in the 24th minute when Punjab-B leveled the tally 1-1 through Asad Khan. At half-time both were locked 1-1.After the resumption of the second session, Punjab-A scored two more goals through Qasim Ali in the 47th and 69th minute on the field attempt. Punjab-B tried their hard to reduce margin but they were failed to do so.In the position match Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A defeated Punjab-C by 2-1. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A scored two goals through Walid Khan and Sami Ullah in the 16th and 26th minute. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A was leading by 2-0 at half-time.In the second session Punjab-C reduced the margin when Anwar Sohail scored a beautiful goal on the field attempt in the 57th minute.
