Summary Pakistan hockey team will leave for Beijing today for a 1st Asian Champions Trophy.

The squad, led by Muhammad Amir, comprises Shakeel Abbassi, Imran Shah, Ali Shan, Imran Butt, Rizwan Junior, Muhammad Waseem Ahmed, Rashid Mehmood, Fareed Ahmed, Muhammad Tauseeq, Waqas Sharif, Umar Bhatta, Kashif Shah, Muhammad Irfan Junior, Abdul Haseem and Kashif Javed.The championship will be played from Sept 3 to Sept 11. Before the start of the event, the green shirts will play a friendly each against Japan and China.Pakistan will play their opening match against Malaysia on Sept 3 and second match against S Korea the next day. Pakistan will take on arch rival India on Sept 9.
