Spains Marquez clocked 2:02.493 on his Suter, to the German Kalex riders 2:02.704.Alex de Angelis of San Marino rode his Motobi to third fastest in 2:02.725.Nicolas Terol of Spain qualified fastest in the 125 category on his Aprilia, taking his fifth pole of the season on a dry track in contrast to the mornings rain. The championship leaders qualifying lap time was 2:08.118.Frenchman Johann Zarco on a Derbi was second quickest 0.385 seconds behind Terol and Sandro Cortese of Germany third on an Aprilia a further 0.135 back.
