World number 1 Novak Djokovic strolled into the final of the Rogers Cup in Montreal after Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was forced to retire injured in the second set of their semi-final.The Serbian was leading 6-4 3-0 when Tsonga received treatment, and subsequently exited the court, suffering from soreness in his right forearm. The walkover allowed Djokovic to progress to his ninth ATP Tour final this year.During the relatively brief period of play, Djokovic lost just three points on his serve and made a crucial break at 5-4 in the opening set to take a commanding lead. When the 24-year-old broke Tsonga again early in the second set, the Frenchman decided to rest his injured arm in preparation for next weeks US Open warm-up event in Cincinnati.Tsonga complained of pain in his forearm after his quarter-final victory over Nicolas Almagro, but many of the spectators inside the Uniprix Stadium booed the Wimbledon semi-finalist as he left for the dressing room.
