Summary Japan and US qualified for the final of Womens Football World Cup 2011.
Japan stormed into Women’s Football World Cup by beating Sweden 3-1 in the semi-final played at Frankfurt. Nahomi Kawasumi scored twice while captain Homare Sawa scored the third goal for Japan. Josefine Oqvist scored the lone goal for Sweden.Earlier, US beat France 3-1 in the first semi-final played in Berlin to book a place in the final.The final of the Women’s Football World Cup 2011 will be played on July 17.
