Fans of former cricket team captain Shahid Afridi staged a protest in front of the Lahore Press Club to express solidarity with him.Carrying Afridi’s posters, the fans chanted slogans for his reinstatement as the captain of Pakistani cricket team.The fans said that Afridi revitalised a bunch of disintegrated players and took them to the semi-final of World Cup but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unfairly removed him from the captaincy. They said that PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt did not do well for Pakistani cricket.
