Summary The PCB asked Afridi to explain his comments in which he questioned the team managements role.
Afridi, on his return from Pakistans 3-2 ODI series win over West Indies in the Caribbean, hinted his differences with coach Waqar Younis.Although the differences in team management are not such that could not be solved, I feel everyone should do his job and need not interfere in others work. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Afridi violated the code of conduct and an action would be taken against the one-day captain on the report of the team manager and the coach. Although captain and coach worked well together during the World Cup, tensions between the two have been apparent for some time, in particular over the issue of team selection. Afridi feels, as a captain with an on-field responsibility, he should have the final say in the selection process. Waqar feels as a coach he should also have a right to give his opinion.
