Summary West Indies thrashed Pakistan in the fifth and the last ODI match by 10 wickets.

In that match, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The decision though did not play into Pakistan’s hands as the batsmen were shown the way to the pavilion one after another. The only three players able to take a stand against the West Indian bowlers were Muhammad Hafeez who scored 55 runs, Umar Akmal with 24 and Muhammad Salman with 19 runs as the batting order collapsed. Eventually the green shirts only scored a total of 139 runs in 41.2 overs.For the West Indies, Ravi Rampaul claimed four wickets, Darren Sammy took three and Dwayne Bravo took two wickets. In response, the West Indian opening batsmen found their form and cruised to victory as Lendl Simmons scored 77 runs and Kirk Edwards scored 40 runs. The West Indies successfully chased 139 runs in 23.2 over with all the wickets in hand.The man of the match award went to Lendl Simmons while the man of the series went to Mohammad Hafeez.Pakistan won the five-match series 3-2. The green shirts won the first three matches of the series whereas in the fourth ODI West Indies beat Pakistan by one run when the Duckworth-Lewis method was applied after rain hampered the West Indies innings.Pakistan and the West Indies have now faced each other 120 time out of which Pakistan has won 52 matches while the West Indies have claimed 66 victories whereas two matches ended in a tie.Pakistan will now play the first test against the West Indies on May 12 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
