Summary Istanbul Buyuksehir beat Genclerbirligi 3-0 to reach Turkish Cup final.
Istanbul Buyuksehir took another step towards a first ever Turkish Cup triumph, recording a 3-0 win at Genclerbirligi in their semi final second leg to complete a 4-1 aggregate victory. In a one-sided match, the visitors took control in the 11th minute when Ibrahim Akins crisp strike found the back of the net, cancelling the away goal Genclerbirligi had scored in Istanbul a week ago.The tie was effectively over after half an hour when Akins second goal, this time after a beautifully struck free kick which curved around the wall, gave them a two goal lead which soon became three when Herve Tum slammed the ball home after a run down the right from Samuel Holmen. The second half was a dour affair but the job was well done by Istanbul at this stage and they hung on to end the match with the clean sheet as part of a comprehensive victory.
