Summary Starting successfully on third day of IPL-4, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils by 8 wickets.
The host team won the toss for match being played in Delhi and decided to bat first, but with fast bowling of Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga, all Delhi team was sent back to pavilion after 95 runs in 18 overs. Paragayan Ocha was prominent with 29 runs, while Malinga took 5 wickets.The encountering Mumbai Indians of Tendulkar met the target within 16.5 overs. Tendulkar returned to remain unbeaten on 46 after opening the innings and brought up the win with a boundary with 19 balls to spare and eight wickets in hand, while Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten after 27 runs.
