Summary South Africa and Ireland will face each other in a World Cup group B match today (Tuesday).
The match will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata and the play will kick off at 2 pm Pakistan Standard Time. South Africa have won both their previous one day matches against Ireland, including one during the Super Eights stage of the 2007 World Cup. Imran Tahir did not recover from his thumb injury and his inclusion in today’s match was ruled out. South Africa will try to avoid another Irish upset to remain at top in the group. Defeating England and scaring West Indies and India, Ireland would be upset for the collapse while chasing a gettable target against Bangladesh. They will try their best to defeat the proteas to book a birth in quarters.
