Summary Bangladeshs tight bowling and four run outs ended the Dutch innings in the 47th over on 160.

Abdur Razzak claimed three Dutch wickets and yielded only 29 runs in his 10 overs. Shafiul Islam, the opening seamer, could not manage to take a wicket but he was instrumental in strangling the batsmen before the spinners tightened the screws. He gave only seven runs in his first six overs in the first spell and finished with the figures of 9.2 overs, 3 maidens and 15 runs. Ryan ten Doeschate made a useful contribution before getting run out on 53. No other Dutch batsman could cross the score of 30. Dutchmen struggled to read the spin of Bangladeshi spinners and unable to put a challenge against the opposition whom they could beat. Losing seven wickets on 138 after 40 overs was a sorry site for Dutch supporters.Szwarczynski was run out by Shakib on his own bowling as the batsman stepped forward from the non striker’s end. It was the presence of mind coupled with agile wok of Shakib that earned a wicket for Bangladesh. A sheer misunderstanding between Cooper and Doeschate caused another run out and cost the wicket of Cooper, who seemed well settle on 29.The Dutch could only score 54 at the loss of two wickets in 20 overs at an average of less than three runs per over. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan trapped Dutch opener Barresi in front of the wickets on the total of 28. Barresi made 10, while Szwarczynski was playing on 16.The experts reckoned the conditions will help the bowlers initially but Netherlands chose to defy that wisdom. Each team made two changes: Bangladesh replaced Raqibul Hasan with Shahriar Nafees and Naeem Islam with left-arm spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo. The Netherlands brought in Atsee Buurman for Bas Zuiderant and offspinner Adeel Raja for Bradley Kruger.
