Summary Pakistan cricket team led by Captain Shahid Afridi departed for Bangladesh via Dubai today in order to participate in ICC World Cup 2011.
The fifteen member squad led by Captain Shahid Afridi departed for Bangladesh via Dubai from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. The vice captain of Pakistani team will be Misbah-ul-Haq; where as other team members include Younis Khan, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Umar Gull, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal and Asad Shafeeq. The national team will participate in the opening ceremony of ICC World Cup 2011 to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 18th February. While the first pool-match of Pakistani team against Kenya will be held on 23rd February 2011 in Sri Lanka. The team will also play warm-up matches before the inauguration ceremony. A huge number of supporters were also gathered at the airport to see-off the players of Pakistan cricket team.
