Summary Sindh government has issued a notification of extension in the powers of Rangers.
According to notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, the Rangers have been given powers under Section-5 of the Anti Terrorism Act 1997 according to which Rangers personnel would be authorised to conduct a raid and arrest accused in any area of the metropolis.It is worth mentioning that the Rangers had been delegated powers of raid and arrest to control over troubled and turmoil situation.In this regard, new notification is issued after every three months.
