Summary Sui Gas Punjab Student Meter Readers held a protest against irregularities in recruitment.
A large number of student meter readers gathered in front of the Press Club and complained that the administration had assured them that each one of them who is rendering services in the department would be made permanent on a seniority basis but it did absolutely opposite, while also started recruiting new readers.They also claimed the high officials have favoured their loved ones in the name of so-called rules and regulations. Protestors warned to commit self immolation if their demands were not met.
