Summary Hundreds of protestors blocked rail track in protest against continuous suspension of gas supply.
Hundreds of protestors staged a sit-in on railway track and also stopped a passenger train on Sanat Pura Phatak for 7 hours in Faisalabad.Railways authorities halted the trains on nearby stations and called the heavy contingents of police to disperse protesters in order to restore railway traffic. The protesters pelted stones on the police and the train as well.The police resorted the baton charge and tear gas shelling and arrested scores of people. The protestors also broke the sign boards of political parties.The protestors were of the view that gas supply has been suspended for three consecutive days and is not being restored despite the protest.At 5pm the police could be successful in clearing the railway track and trains could be passed from the area.
