Summary Sindh CM approved extension in Sindh Local Government Ordinance 1979 for six month.
In this regard a meeting was held in Karachi where Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah was in chair.The CM said that the ordinance is being implemented in true spirit.The final session would be called after approval of the proposed Local Government Act 2011, adding that unless approval of new system, the SLGO 1979 would stay implemented.It is worth mentioning that the tenure of Sindh Local Government Ordinance 1979 is going to come to an end on February 7.The ordinance would in effect after approval of the CM and verification of the Sindh Governor.
