Summary A sit-in was observed on Jinnah Bridge before funeral prayer for Muhammad Ali Shah killed in Layari.
Stern security arrangements were arranged before the funeral prayer for Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jama’at activist Muhammad Ali Shah in Memom Society. The heirs of the deceased decided to hold a protest before offering funeral prayer.A large number of people gathered on ICI Bridge and observed a sit-in for about 45 minutes. As a result the traffic system became stagnant for 45 minutes causing disturbance in the flow of transportation on Maripur Road.On the eve, the heirs demanded to get a copy of the FIR that was registered by the police in time. Later the heirs offered the funeral prayer for their loved one and peacefully dispersed.
