Summary A protest demonstration was held by villagers against police corruption and maltreatment.
The people of Mallal Mughlan village blocked Chakwal Sohawa road on Wednesday against the increasing incidents of robbery, theft and corrupt practices of police department which is reluctant to register FIR against the accused.The protesters burnt tyers and blocked the road for nearly two hours. They were also chanting slogans against the local police. Due to blockage, people had to wait in long queue of vehicles on both sides of the road.Police force from Dhuman police station rushed on the spot and had a dialogue with the protestors. SHO assured them that FIR would be registered in the next few hours however the demand of transfer of in-charge Sub inspector Mallal Mughlan police post would be referred to DPO Chakwal for further action.A four-member committee from the protestor would meet DPO Chakwal on Thursday or the transfer of In-charge police post
