Summary Police distributed belongings of a theft accused among people in Chiniot.
Police raided house of a theft accused and distributed his household articles among people.As per details, some unknown people went away with Advocate Riaz Chokia’s buffalo.Local sniffer tried to trace the buffalo by traditional technique and guided the people of the village to a sugarcane filed near residence of Javed son of Mian Ahmad Ali. The area people informed the police that thieves had hidden in sugarcane field but it did not reach there.While protesting, people raised voice against police negligence and blocked Faisalabad Road. After two hours, DSP reached the site of occurrence and incited the people, but himself slipped away.Later, SHO Rajua Police Station Rana Khalid Rashid and other police officers raided the house of Javed and ordered people to loot whatsoever they found there.People looted cows, goats, hens and other animals and escaped from there.During looting and plundering, a youth and a man opposed police action and termed it violation of human rights, but police tortured both mercilessly.The area people informed DPO Rana Shahzad Akber and DSP but the officers said that thieves should be treated this way.
