Summary Police register case against protestors demonstrating against killing of man in Faisalabad.
An F.I.R has been registered against more than hundred protestors who confronted with police and set ablaze Awagat police check post in Faisalabad yesterday.The case is registered under terrorism act over an application filed by Muhammad Asghar, the in-charge of Saddar Police Station, Jaranwala.On Saturday, a man named Sabir was killed by Sargodha police when he resisted their attempt to enter a house.After the incident, angry mob blocked main Faisalabad-Jaranwala road in protest against the killing.Clash erupted when police fired tear gas and baton-charged the protestors, triggering a furious reaction.On the other hand, a case has also been registered against 28 police personnel suspected into killing of man during raid near Jaranwala Road.According to protestors, the victim had not criminal record in the past.
