Summary Enraged protestors blocked expressway and set a police vehicle on fire against gas-shedding.

After becoming fed up from persisting low pressure and non-availability of natural gas, citizens of twin cities poured on Islamabad expressway and blocked the road main artery of the twin cities.The enraged protestors gathered at expressway near Zia Masjid and shouted slogans against the administration, torched tyres, pelted stones on vehicles, and broke their glasses.Police fired shells of tear gas to disperse the angry mob but protestors set on fire two APC vehicles of police.They smashed one vehicle with the electric poll, which resulted into electricity outage in the area.Police tried to control the mob but it was impossible for them to control the angry mob.Administration tried for negotiations with the protestors but they made it impossible by repeatedly pelting stones on police and other officials.Due to closure of the road, hundreds of vehicles remained stuck on both sides of the busy road.The protestors demanded of the government to supply gas to the domestic users without any halt.Later heavy contingents of the police were which dispersed the protestors and opened the expressway for all kind of traffic.Meanwhile, IG Islamabad told that only one vehicle was set on fire and police has arrested four persons for setting vehicle on ablaze.
