Summary CM KP said government is committed to enhance opportunities of higher education in far-flung areas.
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti was talking to MPAs during his weekly meetings here at his office on Thursday. Provincial ministers and MPAs from different political parties were also present there.he said that establishment of sub campuses of Abdul Wali Khan University in different districts and degree colleges clearly reflecting this commitment.The CM said that establishment of sub campuses of Abdul Wali Khan University in Buneer and Chitral has ensured provision of higher education facilities to youth of far flung areas at their door steps.He said that belief and ideology of extremism in the region can be defeated through spreading light of knowledge, added, youth was the future of the country and our efforts for brightening and protecting it were underway.He cited government special initiatives for promotion of higher education among which, ‘Stori Da Pakhtunkhwa’, ‘Rokhana Pakhtunkhwa’, and PhD scholarships were worth mentioning.The CM also updated the MPAs on PM visit to Peshawar and said that he has requested the PM for relief in taxes and initiation of Benazir Income Support Program(BISP) for new district Torghar, extension in period of Prime Minister Special Package for traders and business community and steps for earlier release of allocated funds for projects in PSDP approved for KP, added, the PM has assured full support in this connection.The CM said that Mega Projects were of prime importance for stability of economy of the province and prosperity of the people. He said that development package worth Rs. 4 billion for construction and development and people welfare of people of new district Torghar has been implemented that will enable the district to mingle in national stream and equal to other districts.The MPAs acquainted the CM on progress on development schemes in their respective constituencies.
