Summary District Health Department has made arrangements for four-day anti-polio drive in Islamabad.

District Health Officer of Islamabad Dr. M. Azhar Khan told that the department has constituted 87 mobile teams for this especial anti-polio drive for high risk population particularly in seven tehsils.He said that as many as 45, 000 children would be administered anti-polio drops during this drive and mobile teams would visit door to door for administering anti-polio drops to the children.He said that four Zonal Supervisors and 19 Area In charges have been deputed for strict monitoring the performance of mobile teams.On the special directions of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed, the District Health Officer, Islamabad would also conduct visits of 8 union councils to monitor the performance of mobile teams and would submit reports to the Deputy Commissioner on daily basis.He said that union councils of Sohan and Tarlai would be covered fully and other six union councils including Sihala, Rawat, Koral, Kirpa, Bhara Kau and Kuri would be covered partially as per selected areas.The DHO Dr M. Azhar said that special arrangements have been ensured for this especial anti-polio drive and hoped that the target set for the drive would be achieved successfully.
