Summary Security plan has been prepared to keep law and order in Gilgit.

Heavy contingents of police would be deployed in all districts particularly on sensitive points to avoid any untoward incident.Gilgit has been in grip of target killing and terrorism for many years where hundreds of people have lost their lives.This year, the government has decided to keep law and order situation in control and thousands of security forces including police, Rangers and scouts have been deployed on Ashura day.Gilgit city has been divided into four portions and every sector would be led by a DSP.The CM GB Syed Mehdi Shah said that people are satisfied with the arrangements made by the government. He added that the government should take special measures for permanent peace in the region.It is worth mentioning that 119 Imam Bargahs have been declared 11 points very sensitive and 16 sensitive.
