KUJ to protest against attack on journalist

As per detail, the announcement was made after a journalist from the Waqt News Ihsan Kohati was targeted by unknown miscreants.Karachi Press Club president said that they would raise voice for their companion, seeking further security arrangements. He said that our people are rendering services shoulder to shoulder with other departments for progress and prosperity of the country.Karachi Commissioner Roshan Shaikh said that he was regretful over the incident, with the assurance that journalist would be provided with every kind of security.The injured journalist was rushed to hospital where a large of journalists from different papers and news channels gathered and showed solidarity for their companion in hour of trial.Federal Minister Firdous Ashaq Awan said that the government would facilitate the affected journalist in his treatment. She said that journalist should be provided with bullet-proof jackets.Punjab Union of Journalists president Rana Azeem also expressed his solidarity with the injured journalist and condemned incident of terrorism.
