Summary Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad said there is lot of difference between LG and commissionrate systems.
Addressing Pakistan Navy’s 41st PN Staff Course, he said that Local Government system is a very ideal system which has financial freedom as well as accountability action.He said that the MQM and the PPP have shown unanimity in some points, adding that a new system would be introduced with the amalgamation of systems prevailing in 1979 and 2001.While appreciating the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding Karachi, he said that the city is face by communal and political problems. A new ray of terrorism had emerged for some time but the Supreme Court took notice of the situation and the government controlled over the situation with reasonable steps.He said that weapons are brought in the city from outside; only national level steps can prove fruitful to deweaponise the city out of illegal arms.
