Summary Fire gutted nearly 35 shops in Soldier Bazaar on Sunday.
According to reports, the fire broke out at one of the shops in Soldier Bazaar No.3 CM Market and went on a blazing rampage thereafter.According to police, fire started due to an electric short circuit on early Sunday morning. Three fire brigade engines reached the scene and started rescue operation but due to intensity of fire two more fire tenders were also called in. The fire was brought under control after two hours of hectic efforts but in the meantime 35 shops were gutted.Goods worth millions of rupees, present in the shops and godowns were burnt to ashes.
