Summary Electricity of Sargodha Railways station was disconnected due to non-payment of dues worth Rs 3.5m.
However, electricity had to restore temporarily for reservation of an officer’s family leaving for Karachi.Employees held a protest demonstration over disconnection of power connection.During this, the situation became interesting when an SDO of WAPDA succeeded in getting tickets for his family after restoration of electric power. When the WAPDA employees went there to disconnect the power connection once again, passengers encompassed them and did not let them to disconnect the power connection.The railways employees also held a protest demonstration against the WAPDA and held the federal minister for Railways responsible for the crucial situation. They also shouted slogans against the management for poor performance and ill management.
