Summary It was a difficult day for MQM MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi and a fork lifter.
A fork lifter lifted his car for wrong parking, but worst was to come. The very lifter broke down perhaps by the ‘sheer weight’ of Rizvi’s car, while the MNA had to catch a flight.The MNA had parked his car as he had to attend a meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges in the Parliament House.A lifter operator picked up his car to put it somewhere else when session of the Senate was going to start. The lifter successfully lifted the car up but then all of a sudden the machine broke down.Meanwhile, Rizvi hurriedly came out from the committee meeting to reach Islamabad Airport and was irritated to see his car all four wheel up in the air.Since it was Rizvi’s car, another lifter was brought down to put the car on ground. The irritated MNA instructed secretary of the Standing Committee to inquire into the issue as whether any authority or speaker of the assembly allowed the lifter in the Parliament premises or not.The secretary has formally filed a complaint on behalf of Haider Rizvi.
