The 22 convicts of the Sialkot lynching case filed pleas against the verdict of the Gujranwala’s Anti Terrorism Court.The convicted police official, including former Sialkot DPO Waqar Chohan, maintained in their pleas that they were not present at the site when the incident occurred while the convicts who were sentenced to death and life imprisonment said that the ATC gave the verdict under pressure and they had nothing to do with the case.Meanwhile, the family of the lynched brothers filled an application against the acquittal of five accused in the case, maintaining the acquitted were also involved in the crime so there acquittal should be reversed.
