Summary Citing financial crises, Railways has sent a dozen of officers on compulsory leave.
The high-ups of Pakistan Railways gave some indications that it is very much possible that more officers who did not show good performance for some time might also be sent on compulsory leave as the crises is deepening day by day and government is not paying any heed towards making the railways viable by giving funds to it.After the decision of sending 12 officers on compulsory leave for the first time in the history, panic prevailed the rail employees.The officers sent on compulsory leave include Director Property and Land Shakeel Ahmed, Joint Director Property and Land Muhammad Arif, Deputy Chief Engineers Mumtaz Nabi, Javed Akhtar, Anthony Roy and Syed Hassan Project Directors Muhammad Rafiq Khan and Muhammad Shah, Commercial and Transport Officer Mansoor Saleem, Director Public Relations Mohsin Yousaf, Chief Engineer Telecom Khalid Pervez and Chief Protocol Officer Nisar Ahmed Gondal.The ministry reportedly has started collecting data of more officers for sending them on compulsory leave.
