Summary At least two persons were injured when a man opened firing at an accused.
The incident took place on premises of Session Courts in Islamabad on Saturday. The assailant targeted a murder suspect and succeeded to escape from the scene.The incident speaks for the poor security at Sessions Court.Bhara Kahu police was to produce Rana Sarwat, accused of murder, before Sessions Judge Islamabad Syed Muzaffar Ali Shah. An unknown armed man managed to enter in the court premises and opened fire, injuring Rana Sarwat (accused) and Constable Rafaqat. Both injured were shifted to PIMS.Interior Minister Rehman Malik taking notice of the incident of firing has sought detailed report from the IG Islamabad and directed to stop entry of armed men in the court premises.
