Summary One police official and two dacoits were killed in an encounter in Faisalabad on Friday.
According to information, police stopped a car at a check point in Tariqabad area. The car riders opened fire at the police and fled from the scene. Police chased the car and rounded it up near Naimat Colony on Jaranwala Road.An encounter took place between police and dacoits, killing one police official, Maqbool Ahmad, on the spot while injuring Ghulam Bari and Abdullah. Two dacoits were also killed in the encounter while others managed to escape.Police also arrested seven people, including a woman, after the encounter which lasted for more than an hour. Police is also conduting more raids to arrest the dacoits.
