The petitioner maintained in his application that a petition had been filed in the Lahore High Court, demanding that local bodies elections should be held immediately in Punjab.But the petition is under hearing for two years and waiting for verdict, said the petitioner.The Punjab government is violating the constitution by not holding the polls, the petitioners said.He requested the court to issue orders to the Punjab government to hold polls immediately.
