Summary Lawyers announced to launch campaign against Aid Action to Civil Power Regulation 2011 in Peshawar.

The representative of different political parties termed it law of the jungle.While addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, the lawyers of Jamaat-e-Islami, the PTI, the PPP Sherpao and other political parties including Ghulam Nabi Advocate, Bilal Durrani, Saadullah Murawwat, Isa Khan and Noor Alam Khan termed this law as the most detestable in the civilized world.It is regrettable to say that this law was introduced in the era of those people were regarded them as liberal, progressive, peaceful and champions of rule of law for the Pakhtun people, they added.They said that it was violation of the Article 14 of the Constitution and demanded that the list of those thousands of the people which were being tortured in the torture cells for four years should be made public.They said that nobody could be kept behind the bars for indefinite period as it was equal to indifference to legal procedure.He contended that if it is so necessary, the government should implement it throughout the country, adding that the FATA and the PATA Regulation would be challenged in the Supreme Court.
