Summary Balochistan Assembly could not agree to tackle the issue of new provinces politically.
According to the requisition, it was suggested that the issue of new provinces should be tackled on political grounds rather than lingual basis. Later the requisition was taken back on the call of the Speaker.The Assembly continued it session while the provincial minister for sports remained sleeping sound.The session started after a break of two days under the chairmanship of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhutani. Provincial Minister Abdulkhaliq Achakzai and MPA Shaikh Jaafer Mandokhail filed the joint requisition.They suggested that the provincial government should consult the federal government and make it clear that formation of new provinces shouldn’t be on lingual basis as the discussion itself was leaving a negative impact on politics. It should be settled on political grounds without regard for vested interests.The resolution could not be agreed upon. Later, the requisition was taken back on the advice of the Speaker.On the other hand, the Assembly approved the amended bill of taxes on historical mosques of Balochistan implemented in 2011.The next session would start on August 19.
