Summary City District Government Karachi Tuesday decided to set up a dengue ward at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
It struck an agreement with a private laboratory for provision of platelets.The city government will also start fumigation drive from August 18. These decisions were made at a top-level meeting chaired by Administrator Lala Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday.It was decided that a 40-bed special ward would be established at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to treat dengue patients.The meeting also decided to enter into an agreement with a private laboratory to get platelets on time.Under the Malaria Control Programme, fumigation drive will start on August 18 in 18 towns of the metropolis.
