Summary Energy shortage in Balochistan has reached up to 1000 megawatts.

According to details, unknown miscreants blew up 220 KV line of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) and five towers of Oach Sibi double circuit transmission line. After which the electric supply remained suspended. The electric shortage of 43 grid stations connected to the network has reached up to 1000 megawatts a day.According to QESCO spokesperson, 12 hours of electricity load shedding was done on all the feeders of Quetta city, whereas electricity was supplied in the district headquarters and villages just for 3 hours in every 24 hours. The electricity shortage would be reduced through increasing load shedding hours, he added.Long hours of unannounced electricity load shedding have made life hell for the residents of Balochistan. Some of the areas are also facing water shortage. All the business activities have also been completely paralyzed.
