Summary SC Karachi Registry rejected appeal after being withdrawn against Chaudhry Aslam and 49 cops.
SP Chaudhry Aslam, SP Shahid Umer, Sarwar Commando, DSP Irfan Bahadur and others had killed Mashooq Brohi in a police encounter in Gadab Town after arresting him from Skrand in 2006The case was under proceeding in trial court. SHC Justice Khawaja Naweed had ended the case against the accused in 2008. Later, the Sindh government filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the verdict of the SHCSindh Prosecutor General Shahadat Awan appeared before the Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali and Justice Ghulam Rabbani and said that the Sindh government had no intention to pursue the case further and prayed that it should be consigned for record.
