Summary The IG Punjab apologised to the LHC for re-arresting an accused from court premises.
As soon LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Chaudhry started hearing of the case, the defence counsel mentioned re-arrest of an accused by the Satto Katla police. At this, the justice remarked that if a magistrate accepted the bail of an accused, police used to obey, now things have gone so bad that if the chief justice accepts bail, police do not hesitate from re-arresting the accused from court premises. At this, the IG apologised to the court.
