Summary About 23 houses collapsed after 22 feet breach developed in the Hakra canal near Bahawalnagar.
This canal is situated between Moza Kat Lalika and Section Gulab Ali, Donga Bonga where vast area including hundreds of acres land having cotton was inundated.Water also entered Bastai Lalika, Basti Bahdun Shah and Basti Qureshan.The area people tried their best to fill the gap on their own but the gap widened more due to flow of water. The affected people also raised voice against the Irrigation department over their negligence for nor taking in-time action for recovery.
