Quaidabad: Floodwater enters village, residents stage protest

Floodwater from nearby Sakesar mountains entered Chak No 5 in Quaidabad which forced the people to confined to their houses. The residents of the area staged a protest against government for not starting relief operation in the area.The protesters blocked Sargodha-Mianwali road which caused traffic jams at both side of the road.The residents of the area have demanded the Assistant Commissioner Mian Farooq Sadiq reopen water subways under small bridges on the road. They were of the view that floodwater entered their houses because these subways were shut.The protesters ended the blockade after acceptance of their demands.
