Jhang police book 22-month-old child

The case was registered on July 7 against a 22-year child on charges of assault and battery. The child has been accused of punching and ripping the lip of a 22-year-old man. The child has also been shown armed with a club in the FIR.The child’s father told Dunya News that he came to know about his child’s name in the FIR when sturdy policemen raided their house. He said the Chowki in-charge sought money to quash the FIR, which in itself was illegal.Chowki in-charge Askari Shah however said the FIR was registered before he took over the post. He told Dunya News team: “Now that you have pointed out the matter, I would call both parties and resolve the issue on merit.”
