Summary Workers protested in Quetta against loss and poor condition of Pakistan Railways.
The protest was organised by Railways Mehnat Kash Union. The workers were carrying banners and placards with slogans and workers’ demands.Speaking on this occasion, General Secretary of Railways’ Mehnat Kash Union Anees Kashmiri said that the present Railways Minister and the bureaucracy were bent upon destroying the institution and wanted to deprive the masses of low fare travelling.He said that Railways has reached on the brink of destruction and now the masses should also have to support the workers to save it.On this occasion, the other speakers said that Railway’s loss can be decreased by selling scrap worth Rs 10 billion lying in Railway godowns.The Railway workers demanded the urgent removal of current Railways Minister and DS Quetta.
