Summary Jiapura village in Kamalia is facing threat of erosion due to flow of Ravi River.
Dozens of families have already been affected as Mahabat village, which is at the distance of 12 kilometers from Kamalia, submerged due to the erosion.The affectees are forced to live at nearby roads and fields and they have not been provided food, camps and clean drinking water so far.However, the administration has established a temporary medical camp.Talking to media, the affected people said that they don’t have sufficient food while another locality could be submerged due to negligence of the government.
